Dwight Wesley Miller

Funeral services for Dwight Wesley Miller, 69, of Pilot Point, are set for 1:00 PM Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the High Point Cemetery in Sivells Bend under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. A visitation will be held an hour before the service at 12:00 PM at the funeral home.

Wesley was born on November 7, 1946 in Gainesville to Clarence "Slats" and Gladys (Langford) Miller. He passed away on November 9, 2015 in Pilot Point.

Wes attended school in Sivells Bend until entering and graduating from Gainesville High School. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. Upon returning, he graduated with a Bachelors degree from the University of North Texas. He was a lifelong artist.

He is survived by his life partner of 44 years, Konrad "Bill" Shields of Pilot Point; nephew Randy Miller and his wife Lisa of Muenster; great-nephew Garrett Miller of Muenster; and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Charles "Mac" Miller; and brother Carroll Miller.
