Kenneth "Odie" Wayne Odell

Funeral Mass for Kenneth "Odie" Wayne Odell, 67, of Gainesville, are set for 10:00 AM Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at St. Peter's Catholic Church with the Rev. Phil Petta officiating. Burial will follow at the New Resthaven Cemetery at a later date. A rosary with visitation to follow will be recited at 6:00 PM Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Ken was born on September 6, 1948 in Gainesville to A.H. "Pete" and Helen (Pittner) Odell. He passed away on December 24, 2015 in Gainesville.

Ken loved baseball, and he pitched many no hitters in the Pee-Wee league. He also loved bowling, dirt bikes, drag racing, and antique cars, especially the tri-5's. He retired from Peterbilt on January 3, 2014 after 32 years of service.

Ken married Donna Schroeder on October 27, 1984.

He is survived by his wife Donna Odell of Gainesville; daughter Kendyl Arensman and her husband Joe of Sanger; daughter Heather Endres and her husband Kyle of Krum; grandson Andrew Arensman; and granddaughter Harper Endres.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
