Robert "Bob" Burns Brown

Funeral service for Robert "Bob" Burns Brown, 66, of Gainesville, is set for 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. No visitation is planned.

Bob was born on December 23, 1949 in Livingston, TN. to Virgil and Hessie (Tinch) Brown. He passed away on December 27, 2015 in Denton.

He served in the United States Marine Corps, doing 2 tours in Vietnam. He married Dava Mozingo on July 15, 1983.

Bob is survived by his wife Dava Mozingo Brown of Gainesville; daughter Amy Farley of Cookeville, TN.; daughter Michelle Moore and her husband Shawn of Mebane, N.C.; daughter Dianne Brown and fiance' Eleazar Luna of St Jo; son Scott Brown of Knoxville, TN.; brother Tim Brown and his wife Cheryl of Nashville, TN.; sister Darlene Wall and her husband Jim of Indiana; sister Betty England of Cookeville, TN.; grandchildren Maleke Moore, Brittany Moore, Wesley Moore, Indira Moore, Briana Moore, Josh Farley, McKenzie Brown, Brody Brown, and Eden Luna. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Savannah Brown; brother Otis Brown; and sister Marie Raver.
