Doug Fain

March 11, 1951 — January 14, 2016

Terry Douglas “Doug” Fain, 64, of Whitesboro, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison after a year battling heart disease. He was born March 11, 1951 in Denton to Marvin C. and Rosie (George) Fain.

Doug married Brenda J. Baldauf on June 17, 1995 in Gainesville. They lived in Whitesboro for the past 18 years. He spent over 30 years as a cabinet maker and retired in October 2013 from Chandler Cabinets in Pilot Point. Doug was an avid hunter. He enjoyed yard work and watching the birds come to the feeders that he always kept full. Doug loved the music of Elvis Presley and Roy Orbison, and any movie John Wayne starred in. The casino was a favorite place of his, but more than anything, he loved sitting on the front porch with his wife just watching the world go by.

Doug is survived by his wife Brenda and kitty cat Scooter of Whitesboro; stepson Rick Gow and wife Martha of Fort Myers, FL; brother Royce Fain of Sanger; brother Gary Fain and wife Doris of Sanger; brother Danny Fain and wife KreKre of Austin; mother-in-law Dortha Leach and husband Lloyd of Gainesville; sister-in-law Gayna Ensey and husband Byron of Forestburg; special nephew Chad Briley and wife Jackie of Gainesville; adopted son Keith Peterson of Annandale, VA; and Mickey Johnson and wife Patty of Whitesboro who are dear friends that he loved like a son and daughter. Doug is also survived by other extended family members living throughout Texas.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: Jimmy, Eddie, and Billy.

Doug was loved by many and will be missed by a lot of friends who truly knew what a good man he was.

At Doug’s request, there will be no services.
