Judith Ann Hurst, 75, of Gainesville, passed away February 2, 2016 in Denton.

Judy was born January 22, 1941 in Burkburnett, TX to Homer J. and Bennie Francis (Brannon) Hickey. She attended Gainesville schools and worked at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma City. She enjoyed watching football and supported the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorns. Most of all, Judy treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren.

Survivors include: husband Donald Ray Hurst of Gainesville; son Steven Ray Hurst and wife Jeannie of Whitesboro; son Charles W. Hurst and Maria Torres of Denton; daughter Kelly Ann Cain and husband Clint of Gainesville; son Scott Allen Hurst and wife Roxanne of San Antonio; daughter-in-law Tracey Greenwald of Ohio; grandchildren: Jarren, Justin, Dillon, Melinda, Cody, Brittany, Michael, Amber, Tawny, Anthony, Brandi, Brandon, Delanie, Devan, Faith, Madellynn, Kruz, and Kaia; seven great-grandchildren; brother Jay Hickey and wife Alice of Wilburton, OK; and sister Shelia Black and husband John of Poteau, OK.

Mrs. Hurst was preceded in death by: her parents; son Michael Don Hurst; grandson Dane Hurst; brother David Hickey; sister Becky Grout; and sister Deborah Hayes.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
