A member of First Baptist Church of Gainesville, Mrs. Dills at one time taught a Sunday School class of 10-year-old girls there. Prior to joining First Baptist, she was a long-time member of Tabernacle Baptist Church located east of Gainesville.
She was devoted to her children and grandchildren and took special pleasure in visiting with her friends. She rarely missed a Sunday morning service, whether it was in person at First Baptist or by way of the televised service. She loved to travel and had visited the Holy Land (her favorite trip), Jamaica, Acapulco and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and many other places.
