Janell Kupper

Janell Ruth (Reiter) Kupper was born on February 16, 1952 to Albert (Buddy) and Marie Klement Reiter. Janell lived in Muenster with her family and attended Muenster Public School. She worked in the banking field but mostly she was a wife and mother.

Janell was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Gainesvile. Janell went home to her heavenly Father on March 12, 2016 in Denton Presbyterian Hospital surrounded by her family.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 45 years, Jimmy Kupper of Valley View. They were married on April 17, 1971 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Muenster.

Children – son Daryl and wife Linda of Maryland, daughter Susan and husband Ab Adams of Ft Worth, son Bryan and wife Roxanne of Valley View and son Zack of Valley View.

She was a loving MiMi to six grandchildren: Whitney and husband Justin Arbaugh, Brook and husband Brady Rineer, Megan and Kinlee Kupper and Lilly and Madelyn Adams.

She was great MiMi to Gracie and Melanie. Another great-grandchild is on the way and her first grandson Isaac James is due in August. She was the adopted mom of Matt Van Baale and wife Kristen of Harlan, Iowa and their children Brecken, Bret, Bryce, and Brinley.

Janell is also survived by her sister Doris and husband Henry Grewing, sister Margie Sicking, brother Johnny and wife Jeanette Reiter and brother Monty and wife Gaylynn. Also, sisters-in-law Betty Rose and husband Jerry Walterscheid, Joan and husband Dave Walterscheid, Ginger Kupper and brothers-in-law Tommy and wife Helen Kupper and Billy and wife Lisa Kupper and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Janell was a loving, caring person to all she met. She made the best cookies and was always willing to share with anyone. She will be missed for her sweet smile. Janell fought pancreatic and liver cancer for over a year with many set-backs. She fought hard and took what was handed her. Janell is now in her eternal home where there is no more pain or suffering.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, March 15th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Gainesville with Father Gary Picou officiating. Interment will be in Valley View Cemetery. Visitation and Rosary will be held at 6:00 pm on Monday, March 14th at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Mark Kuntz, Chris Bayer, Frank Rauschuber, Ron Walterscheid, Bert Walterscheid, and Troy Grewing.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Valley View Fire Dept., St. John Paul II Church Building Fund, or Saint Mary’s School.
