Bobby Charles Ramsey

A celebration of life with visitation to follow for Bobby Charles Ramsey, 72, of Mountain Springs, is set for 4:00 PM Monday, August 15, 2016 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Bobby was born on July 25, 1944 in Sherman to Loran Jake "L.J." and Geneva Merle (Moore) Ramsey. He passed away on August 12, 2016 in Denton.

Bobby graduated Gainesville High School in 1963. He joined the U.S. Army in 1964 and served until 1968 where he was a Golden Gloves Boxer. Bobby was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 1922.

He is survived by his wife Kathy Ramsey of Mountain Springs; brother Keith Ramsey and his wife Susan of Longview; and sister Donna Gossett and her husband Tommy of Benton, AR. He is also survived by a niece, two nephews, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VFW Post 1922, or a charity of your choice.
