Wayne Shasteen

Funeral services for Olen Wayne Shasteen, 74, of Ravenna, are set for 2:00 PM Saturday, September 10, 2016 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Pettigrew and Rev. Hollis Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service st the funeral home.

Wayne was born on December 7, 1941 in Gainesville to Alvin Hawkins and Ina Pearl (Lillard) Shasteen. He passed away on September 6, 2016 in Bonham.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Nickie of Ravenna; daughter Kelly Long of McCloud, OK; son Kevin Shasteen of McCloud, OK; son Greg Shasteen of Carrollton; grandchildren Shelby Long, Cody Long, Mykell Long, Skylar Long, and R.J. Long. He is also survived by sister Martha Krebs of Gainesville; brother Eugene Shasteen and his wife Freddie of Gainesville; brother Jim Shasteen of Gainesville; brother John Wesley Shasteen and his wife Glenda of Boswell, OK; sister-in-law Cindy Shasteen of Arlington; sister-in-law Janie Shasteen of Gainesville; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; brother Norman Shasteen; brother Larry Shasteen; and brother Robert Shasteen.
