Lommie Buckaloo passed away Saturday morning, September 17, 2016 at his home in Callisburg, TX. Mr. Buckaloo was born in Madill, OK on June 13, 1950 in the company of his parents Coover Ward Buckaloo of Davis, OK and Esther Lee Walker of Gainesville, TX.
Lommie is survived by his wife, Lourdes Buckaloo, his eight children Sherri Buckaloo, Jeanie Buckaloo, Tonya Buckaloo Wood, Ronnie Buckaloo, John Buckaloo, Amber Buckaloo, Nathan Idell, Dustin Buckaloo and former spouse Kathy Buckaloo.
Lommie is also survived by two siblings, Billy Joe Buckaloo of Tennessee and Ella Pence of Whitesboro. Lommie was preceded in death by ten of his siblings including Walter (Buddy) Buckaloo, Cecil (Cowboy) Buckaloo, Linda Broyles, Minnie Richey, and Evelina Pence.
Lommie was the proud grandfather of twenty four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Lommie worked as a residential paint contractor in the North Texas area for 50 years. Lommie was best known for the pride he had in his family, his generosity in helping people when they were in need, and his ability to impact the lives of those around him.
A funeral service will be held at Geo J. Carroll Funeral Home in Gainesville, Texas on Thursday September 22nd at 10:00 AM., followed by burial service at Callisburg Cemetery. Family night visitation will be held on Wednesday September 21st from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
The Buckaloo family would like to extend a special thanks to all of the friends and family that provided their support over the last couple of weeks, Brother Green of The Church of Jesus Christ and to Ardent Hospice for the care they provided.
