Ashley Danielle Rains

Funeral services for Ashley D. Rains, 19, of Marietta, OK, most recently of Gainesville, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Marietta, OK with Rev. Shane Norton officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 21 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Ms. Rains passed away September 18, 2016 in Dallas.

Ashley was born April 24, 1997 in Gainesville to Tommy C. Rains, Sr. and Tina M. Sailer. She was raised in Marietta and attended school there. She was a proud member of First Baptist Church in Marietta where she was involved in Youth Group and many other activities. She loved shopping, animals, time spent with friends, and church retreats at Falls Creek.

Survivors include: mother Tina Sailer of Gainesville; father Tommy Rains, Sr. of Marietta, OK; sister Nicole Sailer of Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law Tommy and Brittany Rains, Jr. of Thackerville, OK; sister Bunnie Jefferson of Ardmore; sister Laura McNeil and husband Shawn of Shreveport, LA; and nieces: Ariel, Alexia, and Ava.

Preceding Ms. Rains in death were: grandmother Linda Sailer, grandfather Jammie Lee Rains; and grandmother Rosa Lee Rains.

Memorial contributions may be made to the youth programs at First Baptist Church – Marietta, OK.

The family would like to thank the nurses and medical staff of Medical City of Dallas, D Building, 6th Floor, for the compassionate care shown to Ashley throughout her illness.
