Gwendolyn Joy Ritchie

Graveside services for Gwendolyn Joy Ritchie, 68, of Gainesville, is set for 10:00 AM Monday, October 3, 2016 at the Nelson Grove Cemetery under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2016 from 3:00 - 5:00 PM at the funeral home.

Joy was born on March 13, 1948 in Gainesville to Doc Boyce and Ruby Pearline (Underwood) Allred. She passed away on September 28, 2016 in Gainesville.

She is survived by her son Bradley LeRoy Ritchie and his wife Michelle of Nocona; daughter RuGeana Ritchie and her husband Josh Williams of Gainesville; grandchildren Cheyene Ellis and her husband Ryan of Zephyr, Cynthia Ritchie of Carrollton, Brittany Lytle and her husband C.J. of Carrollton, Haeliey Duffie of Gainesville, Whytneigh Duffie of Gainesville, Doc Ritchie of Williston, ND, Rosavelt Duffie Jr. of Gainesville, Shronda Purcell of Brownwood, Skylar Purcell of Bangs; and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Elbert Allred and his wife Del of Woodbine; one niece; and one nephew.

Joy was preceded in death by her parents; and sister Polly Helm.
