Joyce Hester Borden

Funeral services for Joyce Hester Borden, 94, of Gainesville, are set for 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at the Commerce St. Church of Christ with Jay Culpepper officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Monday, October 10, 2016 from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Joyce was born on March 19, 1922 in Holcomb, WA. to Thomas Davis and Marion Alice (Tucker) Hester. She passed away on October 7, 2016 in Gainesville.

Joyce is survived by her daughter Arlene Ashford and her husband Charles of Gainesville; daughter Jackie Graham and her husband Randy of Gainesville; son Mike Borden and his wife Theresa of Denton; 21 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Mary Jo Elskin; daughter Linda Ford; grandson Nathan Ford; granddaughter Natalie Ford; one brother; and three sisters.
