Homer Lester Holliday, Jr.

A memorial service for Homer Lester Holliday, Jr., 65, of Gainesville, is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Kremling officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11 at the funeral home.

Mr. Holliday passed away on October 7, 2016 in Gainesville.

Homer was born November 27, 1950 in Gainesville to Homer Lester and Magie May (Loune) Holliday, Sr. He worked at Linda Joe Shoe factory and recently retired from the North Central Texas College Maintenance Department following over thirty years of employment.

Survivors include: brother H.B. Holliday of Midland; brother Tommy Holliday of Gainesville; brother Robert W. Hunt of Porterville, UT; brother Red Hunt of Odessa; brother Earl Hunt of Odessa; and sister Bobby Gaye Mulkey.

Mr. Holliday was preceded in death by: his parents; brother Harvey Mulkey; brother Donald Mulkey; and sister Louis Hunt.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are: Dale Alexander, David Bells, Gary Sorrells, Val Johnson, Jack Colt, and John Kidd.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the NCTC Foundation.
