A Mass of Christian Burial for Shirley (Streng) Nagy, 61, of Lindsay, is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with Fr. Phil Petta officiating. Interment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church.
Mrs. Nagy passed away on October 8, 2016 in Denton.
Shirley was born on January 29, 1955 in Gainesville to Lawrence and Olivia (Dulock) Streng. She married Miklos Nagy on April 23, 1977. Mrs. Nagy was a religion teacher and home room mother for eight years at the Lindsay School. She also worked at Jr. Elite Dress Factory from 1973 to 1978. Mrs. Nagy enjoyed sewing, crafting, working in her yard, but above all, spending time with her family and playing with her grandchildren.
Survivors include: daughter Sabrina Wolf and husband Brad of Lindsay; grandchildren: Travis Wolf and Miklos Wolf; sister Kathleen Lutkenhaus and husband Walter of Lindsay; sister Laverna Loeffelholz and husband John of Yukon, OK.
Mrs. Nagy was preceded in death by: her parents Lawrence and Olivia (Dulock) Streng; grandparents: Ben and Katie (Block) Streng, and Albert and Josephine Dulock; husband, Miklos Nagy; sister Marcella Streng; and granddaughter Gracie Wolf.
