Betty Ann Long

Funeral services for Betty Ann Long, 76, of Gainesville, are set for 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Darlene Conner officiating and Dr. Eddie Chennault assisting. Burial will follow in the New Resthaven Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 from 6:00 - 7:00 PM.

Betty was born on December 14, 1939 in Olney to Allen Lewis and Erma Mae (Ebbs) Goldsmith. She passed away on October 9, 2016 in Paradise.

Betty is survived by son Lee Long of Gainesville; son Mike Long and his wife Ashley of McKinney; daughter Cheri Newman and her husband Brad of Ada, OK.; daughter Camie Sokolosky and her husband David of Corinth; son Jamie Long and his wife Gina of Gainesville; daughter Crystal Davidson of Gainesville; the father of Betty's children, James R. Long of Gainesville; grandchildren Colby, Rylee, Levi, Landon, Cole, Landry, J.D., Jacob, Chance, Caleigh, and Kenadee; and great-grandchildren Noah, and Jayden. She is also survived by her sister Doris Crockett and her husband Don of Farmers Branch; sister Faye Peterson and her husband Alvin of Sherwood Shores; sister Pat Hartsfield and her husband Claude of Paradise; brother Allen L. Goldsmith Jr. of Gainesville; brother Tommy Goldsmith of Farmers Branch; brother Teddy Goldsmith and his wife Sherry of Gainesville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
