Nicki Young

Funeral services for Ruth(Nicki) Nicole Negus Young, 37, of Coppell, Texas and longtime resident of Gainesville, Texas will be Wednesday October 19, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. The service will be held at Temple Baptist Church in Gainesville, Texas. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. Visitation will be held beginning at 10 a.m. preceding the services at the church.

History:

Ruth Nicole Negus Young was born on July 22, 1979 in Southfield, Michigan to Nancy Watson and Donald Negus. She married the love of her life Christopher Paul Young on September 1, 2000. She worked as a homemaker and devoted her life to help others. She was a lymphoma cancer survivor for thirteen years after receiving a bone marrow transplant from her brother Samuel Negus. She fought the fight of a true warrior. She was always happy too to help her family, friends, and anyone that need assistance. She loved animals and would do everything in her power to help animals in distress. Our loss is Heavens gain.

Survivors:

Nicki is survived by her loving husband Christopher Young and one daughter Alexandria Rose Young of Coppell, Texas. Mother Nancy Watson, Father and Mother-in-law Ronny and Debbie Young, and Sister-in-law Tori Garcia. Siblings Gary Cotton, Benjamin Cotton, Penny Cotton, Donald Cotton, Ruby VanZant, Samuel Negus, Jeremy Negus, and Brian Grayson. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces as well as numerous extended friends and family.
