Zeke Burt

Funeral services for Ezekiel Christopher Burt, 32, are scheduled for Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Dennis Perry officiating. Interment will follow at Sharrock Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mr. Burt passed away October 27, 2016 in Walnut Bend.

Zeke was born April 24, 1984 in Dallas to James Charles Burt, Jr. and Donna Francis Magers. He was employed at Fuhrmann Construction and was an avid outdoorsman.

Survivors include: son Ezekiel Christopher “Chris” Burt, II; son Riley James Burt; son Jace Aiden Burt; daughter Ophelia Ann Burt; mother Donna Magers Bezner and husband Paul of Walnut Bend; father James Charles “Chuck” Burt, Jr. of Quinlan; grandmother Patricia Bezner of Gainesville; sister Shelby Burt of Gainesville; sister Rebekah Bennett of Gainesville; brother Zach Burt of Quinlan; sister Anna Bezner of Walnut Bend; brother Aaron Heberling of Quinlan; brother Daniel Smith and wife Melissa of Quinlan; sister Heather Rozanek and husband Brandon of Quinlan; fiancé Bridget Ann Aday of Walnut Bend and her children Eric and Bradley Aday; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mr. Burt was preceded in death by: brother Dane Samuel Bezner; stepmother Ann Burt; and grandparents: J.C. and Helen Burt and Dr. Morris and Margaret Magers.

A fund to assist in funeral expenses has been set up at Prosperity Bank in Gainesville.
