Maria Guadalupe Olvera

Funeral services for Maria Guadalupe Olvera, 69, of Gainesville, is set for 10:00 AM Monday, November 28, 2016 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with Sergio Mendoza officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 3:00 - 5:00 PM Sunday, November 27, 2016 at the funeral home.

Maria was born to Jesus Alvarez and Eloise (Bernal) Alvarez on January 3, 1947 in Mexico. She passed away on November 23, 2016 in Gainesville.

Maria is survived by her husband Raul Olvera of Gainesville; daughter Sandra Conde of Keller; son Jacob Olvera and his wife Claudia of San Antonio; son Raul Olvera Jr. and his wife Marina of Gainesville; daughter Maria Hernandez and her husband Fernando of Fort Worth; son Juan Carlos Aguilar and his wife Ashley of Gainesville; son Nicholas Olvera of Gainesville; daughter Tanya Olvera of Gainesville; 24 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild. She is also survived by her brother Jesus Alvarez and his wife Rosa of Laredo; sister Carmen Vela of Laredo; and brother Ernesto Alvarez and his wife Mercedes of Laredo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother Ruben Alvarez.
