George Ellis

George was born on May 9, 1950 in Gainesville, TX to George Ellis Sr. and Mary Hedrick. He passed away in the hospital on January 2, 2017.

He was a Vietnam Veteran and truly our hero. He enjoyed fishing and working with computers. He loved his children more than anything in this world and his grandchildren even more. The world isn't going to be the same without him, he will be truly missed.

He is survived by his four children whom all reside in Gainesville, TX: Daughter Brenda Smith and her husband Jeff Smith, Son Christopher Ellis and his wife Rachel Ellis, Son Eric Ellis and his fiancé Lynda Joyce, Daughter Melissa Ellis and her fiancé Craig Krones; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Lester Ellis and his wife Debbie of Lake Charles, LA; and numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Tabernacle Baptist Church with Rev. Hollis Parsons officiating.
