Shirley Jean Yarbrough

Funeral services for Shirley Jean Yarbrough, 78, of Lindsay, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 6, 2017 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Karen Martinez officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Monday at Geo. J. Carroll & Son.

Mrs. Yarbrough passed away February 1, 2017 in Lindsay.

Shirley was born August 26, 1938 in Marietta, OK to Woodrow and Lela (Bradford) Gill. She was raised and attended school in Thackerville, OK. Mrs. Yarbrough was a beautician for many years and later retired from Southland Paint. She cherished, most of all, the time she spent with family, children, grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren.

Survivors include: son Dale Holder of Gainesville; daughter Pam Hart and husband Charles of McKinney; son Kent Yarbrough and wife Carol of Denton; son Mark Yarbrough of Denton; daughter Tammy Selvitella and husband Jim of Petaluma, CA; grandchildren: Jennifer Robertson (Will), Jodi Nixon (Paul), Lincoln Yarbrough, Madison and Sydney Yarbrough, and Ethan Hart; great-grandchildren: Kylee, Ryan, Ryleigh, and Christopher; sister Marilyn Smith and husband Bill of Whitesboro, OK; sister-in-law Minnie Jo Secrest of Keller; sister-in-law Oleta Norris and husband Junior of Denton; sister-in-law Barbara Yarbrough of Pilot Point; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Mrs. Yarbrough was preceded in death by: her parents; stepmother Mildred Gill; husband of 45 years Lloyd Yarbrough; brother Tom Gill; granddaughter Jamie Cummins; and previous husband Royce Holder.
