Bill Dovell

Willie Eugene Dovell, 84, of Gainesville, passed away on March 4, 2017 in Gainesville.

Mr. Dovell was born May 24, 1932 in Bailey, TX to Oscar Daniel and Eva Dean (Roden) Dovell. He was an avid racing and football fan and was an auxiliary member of the VFW in Bakersfield, CA.

Survivors include: daughter Marta Coleman of Anchorage, AK; son Markell Dovell and wife Cherie of Muskogee, OK; daughter Joy Blanton and husband Don of Gainesville; son George Elkins and wife Diana of Ogden, UT; son Brian Elkins and wife Crystal of Columbus, OH; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother Lee Dovell and wife Joy of Santa Rosa, CA; brother James Dovell and wife June of Bakersfield, CA; brother Michael Dovell of Bakersfield, CA; brother Fred Dovell of Bakersfield, CA; sister Nita Garrison of Stigler, OK; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Mr. Dovell was preceded in death by: wife Bonita (Criss) Dovell, daughter Denise Dovell, and son Charles Elkins.
