Antonio "Tony" Koenig Ortega, Jr.

A celebration of life service for Antonio "Tony" Koenig Ortega, Jr. 67. of Gainesville, will be held Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at Leonard Park.

Mr. Ortega passed away March 9, 2017 at his home. He was born September 16, 1949 in Robstown, TX to Antonio Koenig Ortega, Sr. and Leona Marie Koenig.

Tony worked as a diesel mechanic for Alan Ritchey, Inc. for 46 years. He cherished his family and was loved by all that knew him.

Mr. Ortega is survived by his wife Barbara Ortega of Gainesville; son Alex Cantrell of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law Jamie and Nancy Cantrell of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law Brad and Candis Cantrell of Pauls Valley, OK; son and daughter-in-law Antonio III and Lindsay Ortega of Gainesville; daughter Sheila Ortega of Gainesville; brother David Ortega of Valley View; brother Johnny Ortega of Valley View; brother Bill Ortega of Clyde; brother and sister-in-law Bob and Laura Ortega of St. Jo; brother and sister-in-law Edward and Edwilla Ortega of Valley View; sister and brother-in-law Esther and Mike Manis of Wiona, MO; sister and brother-in-law Ruby and Noel Gonzalez of Valley View; sister Jane Ortega Knighten of Gainesville. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents and his son Frankie Cantrell.
