Sharon Annette Sistrunk

Funeral services for Sharon Annette Sistrunk, 55, of Gainesville, are scheduled for 10:00 AM on Monday, April 3, 2017 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Jason Thurston officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 PM on Sunday, April 2 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Sistrunk passed away March 31, 2017 in Gainesville.

Sharon was born December 8, 1961 in Gainesville to Melvin Lorn and Frances Ruth (Pearson) Kuhnly. She married Randy Sistrunk on February 24, 2001 in Lindsay. Mrs. Sistrunk was a devoted election judge for Cooke County and the Republican Party. She enjoyed playing Bingo and going to the casino, as she was able, and her beloved NASCAR. Most of all, Mrs. Sistrunk treasured the time spent with her large family, especially her grandchildren – being an incredible Nana at every grandchild’s event.

Survivors include: husband Randy Sistrunk of Gainesville; son Bryan Selder and wife Melissa of Gainesville; daughter Bridgett Youngblood and husband C.J. of Whitesboro; son Bradly Marvin Lott and Bridgette Eddowes of Gainesville; son Barid Joseph Lott and wife Katie of Gainesville; grandchildren: Trace York, Kaydon Drake, Brandan Joseph Lott, and Maddox Joel Lott; sisters: Edith Kahle of Williamsburg, VA, Irene Kuhnly of Gainesville, Vickie Daughtry and husband Ronnie of Gainesville, Patsy Daughtry and husband Randy, Charlotte Jones and husband Danny of Gainesville, Katherine Kuhnly, and Terrie Bozeman and husband Roy of Thackerville, OK; brothers: Melvin Kuhnly and wife Barbara of Springfield, IL and Gary Kuhnly and wife Donna of Callisburg; sister-in-law Debbie Fuhrmann of Gainesville; brother-in-law Ricky Sistrunk and wife Janine of Oak Ridge; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Mrs. Sistrunk was preceded in death by: her parents; sister Becky Balke; sister Ilene Kuhnly; mother-in-law Margie Holt; and father-in-law Roy Sistrunk and his wife Inez.
