A memorial service for Bobby Ray Chambers, 79, of Gainesville, is scheduled for 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Collinsville United Methodist Church with Rev. Gene Gordon officiating.

Mr. Chambers passed away on April 22, 2017 in Gainesville.

Bobby was born March 8, 1938 in Quinlan to David Henry and Anne Alieen (Henderson) Chambers. He graduated high school in Quinlan and attended East Texas State University. On October 7, 1960, he married Nina Vaughn in Wills Point. Mr. Chambers established his career as a sales representative with Texas & Pacific Trucking and Time-D.C. Motor Freight before founding his own company, Chambers Trucking. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing in his regular domino group.

Survivors include: wife Nina Chambers of Gainesville; cousins: Ann Evans of Quinlan, Janie Taylor of Edgewood, and Marlene Wood of Naples, FL; numerous other cousins; sister-in-law Linda Turner of Denison; sister-in-law Peggy Ferrell of Edmond, OK; nephew Robert White of Wills Point; and niece Michelle Nichols of Witherbee, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
