Ray Freeman

August 23, 1928 — May 19, 2017

Raymond Gene Freeman of Lake Kiowa passed away May 19, 2017 at the age of 88 at Renaissance Care Center. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and friend to all that knew and loved him.

He was born August 23, 1928 to Lin and Minnie Freeman. He lived in Oklahoma City until he went to Oklahoma A&M (OSU). While there he met his future wife Inez and graduated with an electrical engineering degree. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War.

Ray and Inez moved to Houston where they started their family. After Houston, they moved to Dallas, where he started R. G Freeman & Associates Consulting Engineers. Ray and his wife moved permanently to Lake Kiowa in 1990 and are members of First Baptist Church in Gainesville.

Ray is survived by his wife Inez of 66 years of married life; daughters Terri and husband Steve Unger; Leslie and husband Randy Fisher, granddaughter Kelli and husband Mike Liebe; grandson Bruce Unger; and great grandson Lucas Liebe.

The family would like to thank the staff at Renaissance Care Center for their loving care. Special thanks to Lee Ann and Amber.

A memorial service for Mr. Freeman is scheduled for 11:00 AM on Friday, May 26, 2017 at the Lodge at Lake Kiowa.
