Doris Lea Hill

Graveside services for Doris Lea Hill, 90, of Gainesville, TX., formerly of Idabel, OK., is set for 1:00 PM Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at the Denison Cemetery in Idabel, OK.

Doris was born on June 25, 1926 in Emory, OK. to Lee Roy Chick and Cordelia (Sample) Chick. She passed away on June 5, 2017 in Denison.

Before her stroke in 2010, Doris volunteered as a "Pink Lady" at the McCurtain Memorial Hospital. She was an active member of the First Methodist Church in Idabel, OK., and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Idabel Chapter #202. She married Jesse Leffel Hill Sr. on August 12, 1942.

She is survived by her daughter Anna Lea Godfredson; daughter Amelia Lynn Furhmann and her husband Paul; son Jesse Leffel Hill II and his wife Dolly; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2014; parents; sister Gloria Newman; and sister Mary Johnson.
