David Gale Parton

David Parton went to meet his Heavenly Father on the afternoon of June 14, 2017.

David was born October 1, 1938 in Galveston Texas to James Arthur and Willie Mae Parton. He attended and graduated from Ball High School in Galveston where he was a drummer in the band.

David was preceded in death by his parents: James Arthur and Willie Mae Parton; and brother Dr. James Kenton Parton. He is survived by: his sister Sally Gaines of Chappell Hill, TX; brother
Paul Parton of Brenham, TX; and four nieces.

Pastor Mark Wascom of Gainesville Bible Church is officiating the private burial. There will be a memorial service at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, June 20, at Gainesville Bible Church. Friends of David are cordially invited to come meet the family and participate in a celebration of David’s life.

Memorials may be directed to either the Gainesville Bible Church or the local animal shelter, Noah’s Arc.
