Funeral services for Shirley Lynn Mitchell, 60, Gainesville, are set for 10:00 AM Monday, July 24, 2017 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Sunday, July 23, 2017.

Shirley was born on August 10, 1956 in Texarkana, Arkansas to Virgil Roy Johnson and Jane (Ames) Johnson. She passed away on July 20, 2017 in Gainesville.

She is survived by her husband Kenneth Mitchell of Gainesville; son David Fuhrmann and his girlfriend Alisha Ritchie of Gainesville; daughter Brandi Fuhrmann and her boyfriend Cody Shell of Gainesville; daughter Marilyn Mitchell of Denton; grandchildren Madelynn Fuhrmann, and Kenzi Shell. She is also survived by her sister Betty Clements of Texarkana; sister Mary Morgan of Texarkana; sister Clara Kelley of Texarkana; and mother-in-law Dorothy Mitchell of Gainesville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Billy Phillips; brother Leroy Johnson; brother Michael Johnson; sister Wanda McBride; and son Charles Mitchell.
