Alicia W. Rich

Alicia Willett Rich, 92, of Henderson, most recently of Valley View, passed away July 27, 2017 in Valley View.

Mrs. Rich was born July 21, 1925 in Batesville, AR to Orville R. and Floy (Nesbitt) Willett and was raised in Clint, TX. She married Pat A. Rich in 1951. Mrs. Rich received a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from Texas Woman’s University. She taught home economics in Denton, TX and Snook, TX and was a homemaker. She also served as a Girl Scout leader in Denton and Henderson. Mrs. Rich retired to Henderson, TX where she was very active in the Historical Society and First Presbyterian Church. She was a skilled cook and seamstress and enjoyed traveling. A generous and kind person, Mrs. Rich cared most for the teaching and loving of others.

Survivors include: daughter Robin L. Rich of Valley View; daughter Laurine Rich; granddaughter Victoria B. Rich of Henderson; great-grandson Cameron A. Rich; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Mrs. Rich was preceded in death by: her parents; husband Pat A. Rich; sister Cherie McLane; and sister Sonya Thomas.

A memorial service in Henderson will be scheduled in the near future.
