Ann was born on November 19, 1923 in Love County, Oklahoma to Lonnie M. Koonce and Mattie (Gatlin) Koonce. She passed away on August 7, 2017 in Gainesville.

She is survived by sister Nadine Bond of Marietta, OK; sister Maxie Holder of Ardmore, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son James Maurice Butler; and daughter Elizabeth Ann Nunley.
