Thomas Guy Riddle

Graveside services for Thomas Guy Riddle, 86, of Gainesville, will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 19, 2017 in Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Jones officiating. A visitation is scheduled for Friday from 5:30 to 6:30 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mr. Riddle passed away August 16, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Denton County May 6, 1931 to Guy and Zora (Collins) Riddle.

Thomas graduated from Pilot Point High School in 1948. He served his country in the 2nd Infantry Division of the US Army in Korea from 1950 to 1951. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas in 1954 and his Master’s in 1957. He served as principal and superintendent at the Gainesville State School where he retired after 25 years. He was a former president of the Rotary Club in Gainesville.
Mr. Riddle is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Janine and Keith Aston of Gainesville; granddaughters Lauren Aston, Katie Aston Davis and her husband Ben, and grandson Dillon Aston.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Kydeen Riddle.
