Funeral services for Samuel Billy Andrew Garrison Sr., 49, of Gainesville, are scheduled for 2:00 PM on Friday, September 1, 2017 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Kremling officiating. Interment will follow at New Resthaven Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 31 at the funeral home.

Mr. Garrison passed away August 28, 2017 in Gainesville.

Billy was born September 16, 1967 in Gainesville to Elmer Leon and Thylora Lee (Warner) Garrison. He married Peggy Gonzalez on September 23, 1992 in Gainesville. He enjoyed fishing, outdoor cooking, and spending time with his treasured family.

Survivors include: wife Peggy Garrison of Gainesville; son Samuel Garrison and wife Melinda of Gainesville; daughter Monique Hamel and husband Scott Jr. of Sherman; son Andrew Garrison and wife Amanda of Muenster; daughter Kayla Dooley and Jesse Greenwood of Gainesville; son Matthew Garrison of Gainesville; eleven grandchildren; sister Lona Martin of Gainesville; brother Ralph Garrison and wife Marie of Gainesville; brother Rudolph Garrison of Gainesville; nephew Nathan Garrison; and many other beloved relatives.

Mr. Garrison was preceded in death by: his parents; son Timothy Garrison; and sister Leona Gentry.
