Funeral services for Donald Eugene Davis, 81, of Gainesville, are set for 11:00 AM Thursday, September 14, 2017 @ the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Hollis Parsons officiating. A private burial will be held in the Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro, TX. Visitation will take place at 10:00 AM Thursday, one hour preceding the service at the funeral home.
Donald was born on February 11, 1936 in Dallas to William Hoyt Davis and Ava Blanche (Clay) Davis. He passed away on September 12, 2017 in Gainesville.
Donald married Mary Browning in 1961. He retired from Victor Equipment Company in Denton.
Donald is survived by his wife Mary Davis of Gainesville; sister Ann Fritz of Gainesville; three step-children; and granddaughter Leslie Browning of Gainesville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother Bill Davis.
