Stanley Richard Grove, Sr.

Stanley Richard Grove, Sr., 83, of Whitesboro, Texas passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at his residence. Family, friends and others whose lives Stan touched are invited to attend a memorial service with full military honors at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home in Gainesville, Texas at 2:00pm Saturday, September 23, 2017.

Mr. Grove was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma August 23, 1934 to the late Richard Willey and Lula Belle Grove. He was a retired Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force after 27 years of service and a graduate from Grayson County College in Denison, Texas.

Stan was preceded in death by his father Richard Willey Grove, mother Lula Belle Grove and sister Juanita Bryant.

Mr. Grove is survived by his son, Stanley Richard Grove Jr., of Whitesboro, Texas; daughter Tammy Gonzalez of Dallas, Texas; three sisters, Dora Ward of Gainesville, Texas; Mary Pettigrew of Irving, Texas, Minnetta Denison Of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and two brothers, Samuel Grove and Willey Grove.
