Memorial services for Carolyn Musick, 72, of Gainesville, are set for 2:00 PM Saturday, October 28, 2017 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mrs. Musick passed away October 25, 2017 in Gainesville. She was born to Paul T. and Tommie Blackmon on August 17, 1945 in Mobile, Alabama.

Carolyn, who graduated from TCU in 1981, was a nurse for over 30 years. She was in the top three of her class. She was included in one of the first groups of women to go to Saudi Arabia to teach nursing. Her nursing took her all over the world. She loved to help others more than anything else.

Carolyn will be greatly missed by her daughter Cynthia Musick; step-son Mike Musick and his wife Janie; brother John Blackmon and his wife Deborah; sister Debra Rubenkoenig; sister-in-law Betsy Blackmon; grandson Brandon Lipe and his wife Morgan; granddaughter Amber Musick; grandson Nick Musick and his wife Kristen; granddaughter Martha Musick; granddaughter Krystal Schaller and her husband Scut; 9 great-grandkids; and extended family and friends.

Mrs. Musick was preceded in death by her parents; husband Eddie Musick; brothers Paul and Roger Blackmon; sister Peggy Blackmon.
