Inez Freeman

Inez Freeman, of Lake Kiowa, passed away at her home on November 5, 2017 at the age of 87.

Inez was born July 26, 1930 in Jones, OK to James and Mabel Inez (Thompson) McCoy. She lived in Ponca City, Oklahoma until she enrolled at Oklahoma A&M (OSU). It was here she met her future husband Ray Freeman.

Ray and Inez moved to Houston where they started their family. After Houston, they moved to Dallas, where she continued to be a talented homemaker and became an active member of Central Christian Church. Inez and Ray moved permanently to Lake Kiowa in 1990 and were members of First Baptist Church in Gainesville.

Inez will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all that knew and loved her.

Survivors include: daughter Terri Unger and husband Steve; daughter Leslie Fisher and husband Randy; grandson Bruce Unger; granddaughter Kelli Liebe and husband Mike; and great-grandson Lucas Liebe.

Mrs. Freeman was preceded in death by: husband of 66 years, Ray Freeman; parents Jim and Mabel McCoy; and brother Ernest McCoy.

The memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Gainesville with Dr. Jeff Langley officiating, under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

The family would like to thank all of her close friends who are too numerous to mention, and her Sunday School class at First Baptist Church.
