William Stuart Linnell
A visitation service for William Stuart Linnell, 74, of Era will be held November 14, 2017, starting at 5:00 PM, at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
Mr. Linnell passed away in Gainesville on November 11, 2017. He was born November 1, 1943 in Bangor, ME.
Bill was a talented machinist most of his working life, including being the owner and operator of Clear Creek Mold and Tool. Upon retirement from tool and die manufacturing, he began his dedicated service in law enforcement working nine years for the Cooke County Sheriff’s Office.
Mr. Linnell was a true outdoorsman, having a deep passion for camping, fishing, and hunting. He also was a gifted custom knife maker and passed his many talents on to his children.
Bill was a dedicated husband and was most proud of his sons and grandkids.
Mr. Linnell is survived by his wife LaFon Linnell of Era; sons and daughters-in-law: Mike and Wendy Linnell of Gainesville, Mark and Jill Linnell of Gainesville, David and Jenn Linnell of Frisco; 5 grandchildren.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents Ralph William and Faye Welthy (McCue) Linnell.
