Morris Elton Mcdaniel

Morris Elton McDaniel, Jr., 81, of Callisburg, went to be with the Lord on November 19, 2017 in Denison.

Morris was born on January 12, 1936 in Sturgeon to Morris and Pearl McDaniel. He attended Callisburg High School where he excelled in track and received honors in Golden Gloves boxing. Morris worked for Bend Petroleum for 52 years as a pumper and greatly enjoyed his work. Mr. McDaniel retired in 2011 and enjoyed cattle ranching at his farm.

Survivors include wife Mary Lee McDaniel of Callisburg, daughter Rhonda Greer and family of Gainesville, daughter Sheila Hooker and husband Jake and family of Paradise, step-son Dwayne Voyles and wife Chantel and family of Thackerville, OK., step-son Chester Dale Voyles and wife Cynthia and family of Thackerville, OK., and brother Bobby McDaniel and wife Sylvia of Callisburg, He is also survived by a large extended family of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Mr McDaniel was preceded in death by his parents, sister Jaquita Stanley, and step-daughter Angela Voyles.

A graveside service will be held at the Hibbet Cemetery on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 2:00 PM. A reception will follow at the Hibbet Baptist Church.
