James (Dean) McMains

James Dean McMains, 56, left this earth for his heavenly home on November 9, 2017, surrounded by his loving family.

The memorial service is scheduled for December 2, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the Family Worship Center, 110 Chestnut St. in Whitesboro, TX with Bro. Steve Miller officiating the celebration of Dean’s life.

Dean was born October 31, 1961 to James R. and Sue McMains in Dallas, TX. He grew up I Mabank, TX, where he graduated for Mabank High School in 1980. He married his soulmate, Judy, May 3, 1985. They raised their 4 children in Callisburg, TX. Dean worked for Dallas Morning News for many years before opening his own business, D and M Steel Buildings. He and Judy also owned Boomtown Fireworks for many years. He loved working with Callisburg FFA while his children were there. Dean loved being Opa to his many grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his dad James R. McMains and his father-in-law Max M. Stringer.

Dean is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years Judy (Stringer) McMains; children Kevin Warden and wife Sissy, Cassie LaFleur and husband Jefferson, Jimmy McMains and wife Rachel, and James Dean McMains, Jr. and Jessica; grandchildren Shayla, Hayden, Makayla, Hannah, Haylee, Mackeinze, Braeden, Annabel, Hynlee, Larkin, Faith, and several foster grandchildren; mother Sue McMains; sisters Lynn Wagner and Darlene Henson; brother Robert McMains; father-in-law and mother-in-law Richard and Mary Ann Tierce and many other family and friends.
