Juarece Hawkins Weatherly

Funeral services for Nelma Juarece (Hawkins) Weatherly, 87, of Gainesville, are scheduled for 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Kremling officiating. Interment will follow at Nelson Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the service.

Mrs. Weatherly passed away December 3, 2017 in Gainesville.

Juarece was born March 23, 1930 in Woodbine to John Madison and Viola (South) Hawkins. She spent her career in the banking industry, serving 29 years at First State Bank. Mrs. Weatherly was Secretary/Treasurer for Nelson Grove Cemetery for many years and was instrumental in its growth and upkeep.

Survivors include: numerous first and second cousins and many beloved friends.

Mrs. Weatherly was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Weatherly.

The family extends their eternal gratitude to Sam and Janna Wolfe, and Bob Nelson for the love and friendship they showed to Juarece.

Appreciation is also extended to Home Instead and Home Hospice of Cooke County for the care Mrs. Weatherly received.
