Mary Elizabeth Friddell

Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth Friddell, 89, of Gainesville, are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Monday, January 8, 2018 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Black officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 PM on Sunday, January 7 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Friddell passed away January 4, 2018 in Denton.

Mary was born December 5, 1928 in Waco to Robert Lee and Nonah Juel (Tatum) McMahan. She was Valedictorian of her graduating class from Junior High and High School in Gainesville. Mary married Clyde Allen Friddell on October 25, 1947 in Denison. In her leisure time, she enjoyed gardening, quilting, crocheting, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include: son Bill Friddell and wife Mary Ann of Gainesville; daughter Naomi Graham of Denton; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Friddell was preceded in death by: her husband; parents; daughter Cherry Friddell; and brother Robert McMahan.
