With heavy hearts we have to say goodbye to our beloved Herkey. He passed away Friday, January 19, 2018 at the Heart Hospital Baylor Plano.
Funeral services are set for 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at the Muenster Heritage Park. A private burial will be held at a later date. A visitation will be held at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM
Well on his way to recovery after open heart surgery last week, the man upstairs had a different plan in mind. He did not suffer as the good Lord took him quickly.
Herkey was born in Muenster on June 14, 1950 to Jack Biffle and Mildred Selby Biffle. He graduated from Era High School in 1968 where he played football, basketball, baseball, and ran track. He attended North Central Texas College (Cooke County College).
Everyone he met loved him as we did. Herkey embodied what it means to love your neighbor. He always had a smile and a joke to tell. Words cannot express our loss, but we know he is in a better place.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mil Richardson Biffle of Gainesville; son Jason Biffle and his wife Rayna of Little Elm; daughter Melissa Isaacs and her husband Wade of Kansas City, MO.; grandchildren Garrett Biffle, Raven Isaacs, Miranda Biffle, Abigail Isaacs, Kellen Biffle, and Gabrielle Isaacs; brother Jimmy Jack Biffle and his wife Mary of Muenster; and brother Sam Biffle and his wife Sara of Stokesdale, NC.
Herkey was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers will be Brad Biffle, Zach Bowman, Kenny Felderhoff, Dave Flusche, Neal Flusche, Doyle Hess, Mike Selby, and Mike Vogel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Herkey Biffle Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Prosperity Bank in Gainesville.
