Sherry Lynn Clark

July 19, 1971 — January 25, 2018

Sherry Lynn Sharp Clark of Gainesville, Texas passed away suddenly on January 25, 2018 at Health Presbyterian Hospital in Denton. Her services will be held at Rest Haven Memorial Cemetery in Gainesville, TX at 2:00 P.M. January 30, 2018.

She heard God’s whisper calling her home. She didn’t want to leave us, we saw her fight. She is in heaven now with her aunt Joann Gatlin, her maternal grandmother Juanita Martin and her paternal grandmother she called Mama Nell who likely met her at heavens gates with an extra fishing pole and Sherry’s dog Meeko.

Sherry was born July 19, 1971 in Phoenix City, Alabama. Sherry’s mom, Barbara Sharp said she was a little ball of sunshine and she would climb anything. Sherry had her only child in November 1990, Samantha Clark. She also became a step mom to 8 grateful children who couldn’t have managed without her. She loved and befriended her kids. Even played video games with us. She loved her daughter with all her heart until the day she died.

Sherry enjoyed bar tending at the VFW for years and had many friends there. She spent years touching the hearts of those she loved, her last 15 years were made special by her partner Billy Joe Crisp. Billy Joe filled Sherry with love and gave her years of devotion, friendship, respect, tenderness and delight. Their furry kids are Lacy, George, Moe and JoJo.

Sherry will be remembered for her love of cooking and feeding people, her unique taste in music, the sixth sense she had. Her grandkids will miss her cooking, her perfect tea she made and how she was always so kind to them.
