John Vislosky

WOODBINE — Memorial service for John A. Vislosky, 71, of Woodbine is set for 2 p.m. Thursday at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Stuart Vislosky officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home of Gainesville.

Mr. Vislosky died Jan. 6, 2008, at Pecan Tree Manor.

He was born Aug. 9, 1936, in Homer, N.Y., to John and Ruth Congdon Vislosky. On March 29, 1956, he married Joan Robinson in Dallas.

Survivors include his wife, Joan Vislosky of Woodbine; children, Joan Burlison of Gainesville, John Vislosky of Euless, Jay Vislosky of Chico, Jessi Vislosky of Gainesville, Jenine Garza of Dallas, JoDee Vislosky of Hartford, Ala., and Jaala Vislosky of Woodbine; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sibling, Stuart Vislosky of Carrollton; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
