Doris Blount

Services for Doris Arlene Blount, 67, of Gainesville are set for 2 p.m., Sunday, at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Don Yeager, pastor, officiating under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mrs. Blount died Jan. 12, 2008 at Pecan Tree Manor in Gainesville.

She was born March 16, 1940 in Independence, Kan. to Manley and Hazel Bracken Wilson.

On April 20, 1957, she married Robert Blount in Gainesville. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the League of Women Voters and the 50s Girls. She was formerly an account manager for Pacific Bell Telephone Company.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Blount of Gainesville and brother Jimmy Wilson of Richmond.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Bobby Wilson, in 1966.
