Taylor Hall

Services for Taylor Hall, 16, of Gainesville are set for 2 p.m. Thursday at Calvary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jerry Elliott officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll and Son Funeral Home.

Ms. Hall died Jan. 14, 2008, at Dallas Children’s Hospital in Dallas.

She was born Nov. 24, 1991, in Gainesville to Wes and Fina Meek Hall.

Hall was a student at Gainesville High School and was a member of the Bethany Chapel Teens. She loved horses, music and playing baseball with her Dad and brother. She played softball for the Cooke County Youth Center. She dreamed of growing up to be a veterinarian. She loved the doctors, nurses and social workers and Children’s Medical Center.

Survivors include: her parents; grandparents Joyce Wilson of Gainesville, James and Ravonda Meek of Gainesville, and Dodie Hall of Anaheim, Calif.; brother Ryan Hall of Gainesville. She was cared for and adored by her cousins, Lindsey Coperley and Marcie Parrent, and her aunt and uncle, Condoa and Jackie Parrent, who were there for her eight-month battle with Leukemia.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, John Wilson.

Pallbearers include: Justin Hall, Jimmy, Gary, Josh and Joe Meek and Greg Woolsey.

Visitation is set from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions in Taylor’s name may be made to the Dallas Children’s Hospital Cancer Floor.
