Sallie Hunt

Services for Sallie Hunt,age 79, will be held Thursday at 10:00 Am at the First Christian Church with the Rev. Mark Loewen officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Family visitation is scheduled for Wednesday evening from 7-8 PM at the funeral home. She died June 4, 2007 at North Texas Medical Center in Gainesville.

Sally was born in Gainesville to Louis F. & Julia Ellen Jones Bosley February 3, 1928. In 1947, she married Weldon Dan Flanery in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Following his death in 1967, she moved back to Gainesville. In 1982, she married Rev. Arthur Hunt who died in 1986.

She was active at First Christian Church where she served as an Elder, Treasurer of the Christian Women's Fellowship and the Come Join Us Class, Coats for Kids Team Leader and served on the Outreach Committee. She worked at Gainesville national bank for 34 years and recently announced her retirement.

She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law Weldon and Leslie Flanery of Haslet and Danny Flanery of Gainesville, one grandchild, Shawn Flanery and wife Missy of Haslet and one expected great-grandchild, Kate Flanery. one brother and sister-in-law, C. G. and Helen Bosley, sisters-in-law Dorothy Reed of Indianaoplis, Margaret Stromquist of Lindsboro, Kansas, step children James Hunt of Whitesboro, Richard and Mary Chapman of Yukon, Okla., Cathy Eilenberger of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Beth Goodson of Leysin, Switzerland, Randy and Nancy Breedlove of Allen, and Carolyn Hunt of Midland, 7 step-grandchildren and 2 step-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Weldon Flanery, second husband Arthur Hunt, step-son Howard Hunt, sisters Virginia Ross and Tina Travelstead, brothers Louis Bosley, Raymond Bosley, and Dick Bosley.
