COLLINSVILLE — Services for Alan Ray Riddels, 51, of Collinsville are set for 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Gainesville with Rev. Lonnie Dotson officiating. Burial will follow at Tioga Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home of Gainesville.
Mr. Riddels died April 7, 2008.
He was born Aug. 22, 1956, in Denton to Calvin and Edith Meek Riddels. On June 18, 2005, he married Natalie Durham at Shady Grove Methodist Church. He was the owner and operator of Riddels Painting & Remodeling Service.
Survivors include his wife, Natalie Riddels of Collinsville; parents, Edith Vaughn of Gainesville and Calvin and Dorothy Riddels of Bennington, Okla.; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Rebecca Riddels of Gainesville; daughters and son-in-law, Alicia and Jason Thurston of Sherman, and Emily and Danielle Riddels, both of Gainesville; step-sons, Josh West and Chaz LeGear, both of Gainesville; step-daughter, Katie Kirchenbauer of Gainesville; six grandchildren; brothers, Greg Riddels of Southmayd, and Rany Riddels of Sherwood Shores; sisters, Cindy Trehern of Bennington, Okla., and Connie Morgan of Collinsville; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Pallbearers are Greg Riddels, Andy Riddels, Royce Mitchell, Seth Mitchell, Casey Riddels, Michael Morgan and Bryan Morgan.
Honorary pallbearer is Heath Morgan.
Visitation will be at the First Baptist Church Activities Building from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
