November 25, 1935 — April 5, 2008

Memorial service for Kelsey Wayne Wiley, 72, of Gainesville, is set for at 2 p.m. today at Central Baptist Church in Whitesboro, officiated by the pastor, Rev. Joe Patterson, Associate Pastor Rev. David Hart, Rev. Jonathan Daves and Rev. Terry O’Toole. Internment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

He was born Nov. 11, 1935, in Fort Worth, son of Dave and Annie Pyle Wiley. He married Sue Headrick on June 27, 1962, at Tabernacle Baptist Church. He was employed in the grocery business for 47 years, and was currently employed at the Wal-Mart store in Denton. He was a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces, serving in the U.S. Navy, stationed at San Diego, Calif.

He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Whitesboro. He attended North Side Assembly of God Church in Fort Worth. He later united with the Petra Baptist Church in Fort Worth where Rev. W.N. Bond was the pastor. He and his family moved to Gainesville in 1975.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Wiley; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Gina Wiley; and two grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and a sister.

Honorary pallbearers are Gaylor Parker, Harvey Clark, Brandon Parker, Gary Grantham, Leon Parker and John Richroath.

The family will receive friends at their residence.
